Meet our Westlund Calgary Staff:

Trisha (Slind) Cummings, Branch Manager Trisha is a second generation to the Industrial Industry. She is a NAIT Student of Chemical Engineering 2000, Class IV Power Engineering. Trisha has been in sales for over 20 years and has been with Westlund since 2003. Prior to joining Westlund, she gained experience in operations at several plants as an operator. She came to Westlund as valve specialist in Edmonton, but over the years has taken positions as Senior Inside Sales, Major Project Quotations, Regional Sales Manager, and has become an expert in many additional areas in the industry.

Murray Schmaltz, Lead Senior Inside Sales Murray joined Westlund in 2010 as the warehouse manager, and was quickly promoted to inside sale because of his commitment to world-class customer service. Murray understands our customer’s needs, and is dedicated to being fast, focused and flexible. If you have a project, and want someone to follow through from conception to completion- call Murray first. Murray uses tenacity to get the job done, complimented by a drive to be the best he can be and ensures his customers can rely on the execution of getting the order when placed.

Curtis Rea, Warehouse Manager and Inside Sales Curtis joined in 2011, and is committed to Westlund’s strategic priority to create an environment so that “No one at Emco gets hurt.” as well as, ensuring our customers and their employees are sharing in the responsibility. Curtis is dedicated to ensure that all our customers’ products are expedited, picked, shipped and documented properly. You will get the right product, at the right price, at the right time, with all the right paperwork! As a standard, all our shipments come with MTRs (material test reports) and by request CRN (Canadian Registration Numbers and/or certificates) with your shipment.

Matthew Massinon
Matt is joined us in 2011 and is focused in day to day order entry, quotations, and data entry. He ensures that all your MTRs are available online through our website, and makes certain all the orders are out the door when they need to be. Rely on Matt to fulfill your daily requirements.

PIPE: We carry Beveled, T&C, Rolled Grove Ends, Plain, Epoxy Coated, Yellow Jacket (YJ) and Galvanized pipe in Welded A53 Gr A and B, API 5L, X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70, DSAW and ERW. Seamless A106 Gr A and B, A333 Gr 6, and Gr 359, 304 and 316 Stainless in both the welded and seamless configuration. Available schedule weights are S10, S20, S40, S80, S160, Standard, XH, and XXH. Lengths available in single random lengths (SRL), double random lengths, (DRL) or cut to length parameters. We also have the ability to invoice in FT or Meters.

FITTINGS: Our carbon steel forged fittings such as 45s, 90s, street elbows, tees, crosses, bushings, caps, couplings, half couplings, reducing coupling, reducing insert, unions are typically the Bonney Forge brand. We inventory items in 2000, 3000, 6000 and 9000 lb rating, threaded and socket-weld, and are available in A105N, ASTM 350 LF2 and galvanized. We carry an extensive arrangement of weld-o-lets, sock-o-lets, thread-o-lets, nipple-o-lets, latr-o-lets and elb-o-lets and specialty length couplings, hex and bull plugs. We also carry stainless fittings in 150 and 3000. We stock buttweld fittings in S40, S80, S160, STD, XH and XXH ASTMA234 WPB, A420 WPL6. We also provide specialty fittings such as lap joints, Y-laterals, stub ends, rings, crotch tees and barred tees. Flanges are stocked in 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500 and 2500 ANSI rating, in schedules, S40, S80, S160, Standard, XH, and XXH and your choice of A105N, A350 LF2, Grade 359, 304 and 316 stainless with options of Full Face, Raised Face Ring Type Joint (RTJ), Blind, Weldnecks (WN), Socket Weld (SW), Slip-on (SO) and Threaded (NPT) Flanges . We also carry Hub Blinds available with specialty taps, expansion flanges, reducing flanges and specialty lap joints. We have a large selection of seamless nipples in threaded both end, plain both end, and thread and plain configurations in XH, S160 and XXH as A106, and A333, and 316SS. We also have a variety of swages in S40, S80, S160 and XXH in A234 WPB and A420 WPL6, 304 and 316 stainless in PBE, TBE and combinations of thread, beveled and plain. We carry ABS and PVC in both S40 and S80. Our mechanical fittings include malleable iron in 150# and 300# in both standard and galvanized configurations, API merchant couplings, black nipples, and weld-in tank flanges, spec blinds, spacers, expansion and flexible joints and bleed rings.

VALVES: We specialize in Regular and Full Port Ball Valves, 3-way Ball Valves, Slab Gates, Knife Gates, Wedge Gates, Clip Gates, Piston Check, Swing Check, Double Door (Dual Plate) Checks, In-line Check, Ball Check, Globe, Plug, Needle, Pig, Butterfly, Choke and Y strainers in pressure ranges of 2000, 3000, 4000, 6000, 1500 and 2500; 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, 2500. Combinations of threaded, socketweld, compression, Wafer and Lug Style, BW, RF, FF, and RTJ in Resilient and metal seated products. We have valve products that conform to FM, UL/ULC, AWWA, ANSI Z21.21/CSA 6.5, NACE MRO175, NACE MRO103, ISO 15156, ISO 5211, API 598, API 607, API 608 API 6D. Available materials are Brass, Bronze, Copper, Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Carbon Steel in grades WCB,A105, LCB, LCC, LF2, Monel, Alloy 20, Inconel, Hastelloy C, Stainless 304, 316 410 and CF8M, and Duplex. Trims include, Trim 1, Trim 5, Trim 8, Trim 9, Trim 10, Trim 12 and Trim 16, ENC, ENP, Stellite and many more. We can customize your control or ESD (Emergency Shut Down) valves, with positioners, limit switches, solenoids, pneumatic, hydraulic, self contained, electric actuators and dead man handles, spring return handles, fusible links, gear operators with or without chain operators.

ACCESSORIES: Westlund also has a large section of plated and black: ready rod, u-bolts, split rings, 2 bolt pipe clamps, riser clamps, clevis hangers in both light and heavy duty, roller hanger, custom clamps and hangers, pipe shoes. We carry accessories such as gauges and thermowells, pipe plugs, pipe protectors, thread lubricants, compounds and tape. We also stock red rubber, neoprene, non-asbestos, graphite, 304 and 316 spiral wound gaskets, in Flat Face, RTJ and RF configurations. Westlund is also a one-stop shop in regards to studs and nuts in B7/2H, B7M/2HM, B8/8, B8M/8M in class I and II available in ANSI sizes or specialty cut to length.
